"Where you are the author of your getaway"
Picture yourself waking up in the morning to panoramic views of mountains, woods and orchards as you leisurely sip a cup of tea on your private balcony while watching a glorious sunrise creep over the pastoral hills. For those who wake up “ready to go,” enjoy a brisk morning walk around the willow-lined pond catching glimpses of our Appalachian mountain wildlife and the early morning antics of the farm animals as they anticipate their morning feeding. Come along with the owners, John & Diane, as they gather the eggs, pick the fruit & berries and harvest the herbs that will find their way to the morning table. And there is always the luxurious option of “sleeping in”--- but make sure you don’t miss the delicious farm-fresh breakfast that awaits you.
Storybrook Farm is a unique agritourism site tucked into 25 private acres less than a mile from Historic Downtown Jonesborough, Tennessee’s oldest town. The Bed & Breakfast is noted for its delicious farm-fresh breakfasts featuring its own eggs, fruits, nuts, berries, herbs and vegetables. Breakfasts often feature fresh bread, scones, cinnamon rolls and other baked delights.
The Farmhouse has three unique bedrooms with private bathrooms: The Lexington Room overlooks the horses in their pasture and sports a décor which complements the scenery. There is a magnificent mountain view from the queen poster bed . The bathroom has a Jacuzzi to relax in and a large separate shower. The Alexandria Room features an Eastern Mediterranean motif and a king size bed. It has its own private balcony overlooking the rock terraced flower gardens. The bathroom has a large built in shower. The Heartland Room is reminiscent of a simpler time in our country's Midwest. It has a double bed and overstuffed rocking chair. The bathroom has a refinished claw foot tub built in Kohler, Wisconsin in 1906 with a modern shower for those who don't have time for a long, luxurious bubble bath. The room has a private balcony with a rocker that overlooks the willow-lined pond. The Farmhouse is a great venue for family reunions, parties, showers, small weddings and business meetings. It can accommodate up to 50 guests (30 if seated at tables).
The log home has a two bedroom family suite with a shared bathroom. If you like the comfort and coziness of all wood walls, floors and ceilings and the privacy you sometimes need from the kids, then this is the bedroom suite for you. The suite's Woodlands Room has a great view of our “backwoods”, shade gardens, and wildlife . The room features an 1860's carved oak double bed. The suite's Wisteria Room with queen bed looks out onto the pasture through the wisteria covered front porch. The Log Home is also available for family reunions, parties, showers, small weddings and business meetings. It can accommodate up to 25 people.
