It is also a wonderful social event that brings people together in their common love and appreciation for quality performances.
Jonesborough is the perfect location for a downtown event because you can shop, eat and hear a great performance, all in the same beautiful historic setting.
Music On The Square is held directly in front of the Washington County Courthouse on Main Street in Jonesborough’s historic downtown. Parking is available in various close-by lots including the large parking area behind the Courthouse.
Music On The Square is held every Friday night from May-September beginning at 7:00 p.m. Shows usually last until around 10:00 p.m.
Music On The Square is free. During the performance a “hat” is passed to all audience members to donate to the program if they desire.
Although members of the audience can set just about anywhere, people are encouraged to bring their own folding chairs. Visitors staying in Jonesborough overnight accommodations can often get chairs on loan from their lodging host.
