The wonderful aquatics facility operated by the Town of Jonesborough has zero depth, rain tree and sprinkler features, lazy river, tube slides, and family “otter” slides. It is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day seven days a week, except in late August after school begins when the schedule is weekends only.
The Water Park has many spray and other water features that are a big hit with young children. The aquatics area is located in beautiful Persimmon Ridge Park with a backdrop of forested ridges and wetland areas. The fenced-in facility includes beautifully landscaped open-spaced areas with lots of trees and grass. There is also a full service café with hamburgers, hotdogs and other sandwiches, beverages, ice cream, and many other food items that kids love.
Persimmon Ridge Park is connected to the historic district by a branch of the Lost State Scenic Walkway. The 130 acre park itself has several miles of walking and hiking trails, and you can cap off a great hiking or walking experience with a dip in the Wetlands Water Park.
The Wetlands Water Park is located within Persimmon Ridge Park. The park is located on Persimmon Ridge Road between Main Street and US-11E. The park entrance is located within eye sight of the US-11E four-lane at the west end of town. Signs are prevalent at the Park entrance and at US-11E.
