Mauk's of JonesboroughMauk’s of Jonesborough is the exclusive dealer of Ekornes Stressless chairs and sofas – the most comfortable chair in the world. You’ll more than likely want to sit down and experience the warmth and unique experience our store has to offer. Choose from almost twenty chairs in the show room to “try on for size”. The chairs come in different sizes for the perfect fit. The second level used to be a restaurant and also has outdoor and office furniture, clocks, collectibles, and more.
At Mauk’s, we invite you to come and sit a spell, maybe even swap a story or two. Our store was once a post office, a doctor’s office, a barber shop, a taxi stand, a clothing store, and was the oldest drugstore in Tennessee. The original structure actually burned down in December of 1873.

www.alavendermanor.comMost of the products sold are inspired by those made at England’s Norfolk Lavender, home to the known purveyor of the Queen’s lavender. Products are made with lavender grown on a farm on the Clinch River in Dungannon, Virginia. The 100-year-old farm has 11 varieties and over 18,000 organically grown plants. They are a perfect source for the many products featured for all areas of the home and for both people and pets. In addition to the aroma and the beauty of lavender goods there are also medicinal properties associated with a number of the products.
It may be delicate looking but lavender is strong, versatile and historic, making it a perfect addition to Historic Jonesborough. Scott County Lavender is open Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. Please come and enjoy!
